A Nadam Festival in memory of Genghis Khan kicked off Thursday in Ordos, north China\'s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The festival opened with a traditional horse racing performance, exciting nearly 1,000 spectators. The seven-day festival will hold not only traditional competitions including horse racing, Mongolian wrestling and archery, but also a horsemanship performance aimed to break a Guinness world record, according to the festival\'s organizers. It is the ninth time since Ordos has held such a Nadam Fair in the name of Genghis Khan, which is estimated to draw more than 1,000 people to join in.
