The Traditional Tales Festival is set to be held in Dar El fan, Casablanca from May 29 -30.The festival will be partnered with the Goethe German institute and will include different workshops, shedding light on traditional tales passed down from generation to generation. The focus will be on the traditional oral telling of stories, and tales inspired by the themes of local heritage. Director Thomas Ladnburger will screen a documentary at the festival, focusing on storytelling and professional storytellers at the El Fna mosque in Marrakesh. This documentary features storyteller Abdul Rahim and his son Zuhair, who dreams of becoming an actor. Ladnburger followed Zuhair in order to illuminate the art of telling traditional stories and what it represents in traditional culture.
