Showcasing many forms of poetry, author Gabrielle Grant’s new book, “Pages of Spoken Word” (published by AuthorHouse), was inspired by Grant’s military service and everyday life. “If you question life and you’ve had unpredictable experiences, or even if you’re just amused by the people you’ve encountered throughout your life, you may relate to what this book is all about,” Grant says. Grant says her original passion was to write short stories when she was younger, but as an adult she realized her fondness of poetry. An excerpt from “Pages of Spoken Word”: “My eyes full of clouds, as they droop to the ground Sounds coming from the crowd yeah look at me wow How I’ve stoned the man How much my haters understand How much stress can one stand? To hold back the tears And put on a front in front of everyone” Source: PRWEB
