The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) will participate at the Frankfurt Book Fair with a focus on the Arab Book Industry and the potential it offers the international publishers. Reiterating its commitment to and belief in the ever enhancing regional publishing industry; ADACH and ADIBF will be offering a special insight and market intelligence into the Arab Publishing Industry at two seminars being offered in Frankfurt With governments strategically investing in higher education, the opportunities for academic and professional publishers are tremendously growing in the Gulf Region – ADACH and ADIBF will offer a seminar entitled Business opportunities for academic publishers in the MENA Region on 12th October 2011 The session will offer the attendees the chance to learn more about the opportunities available to their companies and on how to gain access to the Arab market at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. The session will offer the attendees an insight in to the education sector in UAE and the GCC whilst offering the opportunities to the educational publishers to meet and do business with future partners. The second session Success Stories of Educational Publishers in the MENA Region on 13th October 2011 will offer the delegates an opportunity to hear from market leaders and experts as they share best practices. The session will leave the attendees with an exclusive insight into the Middle Eastern sales operations and ideas that have worked and been successful. The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair continues to offer prime access to the educational market in the Gulf Region. After the immense success of its publication ‘ Al Kitab Al Arabi’ KITAB will be circulating the 2nd edition of this exclusive supplement entitled ‘Background on the Arab Book Industry’ - a commissioned publication focusing on understanding of the local and regional book industry and offering market insight to exhibitors. The publication aims to enhance the opportunities available to the international publishing professionals to network and do business with the Arab publishing sector. Since its launch at the 2010 Frankfurt Book Fair the publication has received overwhelming support and appreciation. Jumaa Al Qubaisi, Deputy Director General of the National Library and the Director of Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, said: “With 300 million potential readers in the Middle East and North Africa; this is a market with huge opportunities for the publishing industry. Our aim is to see books coming into our region from all over the world, offering readers, scholars and schoolchildren access to diverse ideas. KALIMA as well as the Sheikh Zayed Book Award will also be present at the ADACH stand offering advice and information to the visitors.
