Iran\'s 1st Zoroastrian professional center of repairing written works opened on Friday with the attendance of a group of Zoroastrian officials, supervisor of the Parliament Library\'s mending section.According to the Iranian book news agency, during the ceremony supervisor of Parliament\'s Library\'s mending section elaborated on the modern methods used for repairing books, said,\" The methods are compatible with the environment as natural materials are used in their components for not damaging the books.\" Now Yeganegi Library is the 5th center of repairing ancient books and manuscripts following Parliament, National, Astan Quds Razavi and Mar\'ashi Najafi libraries, he added. Yadullah Robat-jazi emphasized on instructing the proper methods, and added,\" Many books are handed over to book binders which get destroyed whereas special methods should be used for their repair.\" He went on to say that books should be sent to equipped centers which, after mending, will be kept at certain places or given back to the donators. Also during the ceremony, the Zoroastrian MP in Parliament Esfandyar Ekhtiari delivered a speech, saying that the knowledge of repairing books is significant. A work which is done to make a heritage last is precious. The investment used for purchasing the repairing tools is valuable however the skill used for preserving the books is invaluable. Talking about his cultural backgrounds, he added,\" As an academic figure interested in libraries, I will present all my political and social experiences.\" Manager of Iranian Zoroastrian Association Rostam Khosroyani expressed his gratitude to the supporters of the new sections of Yeganegi Library. The new center will help us reserve the cultural treasure. If the repairing center wouldn\'t have existed, old books may have been destroyed and ignored. The documents museum of the library is house to precious and rare manuscripts which are mostly themed on Zoroastrian\'s history and culture.
