Iran is planning to hold the 25th Tehran International Book Fair hosting domestic and international publishers at the capital city’s Grand Prayer Grounds. The 2012 edition of the annual event will include three sections dedicated to national, international and Islamic awakening publications, announced the fair’s Chief Executive Bahman Dorri. The Tehran International Book Fair is considered the most significant event of its kind in Asia and the Middle East and a significant venuefor publishers and book lovers to exchange opinions and experiences. “US publishers have announced their readiness to attend the book fair saying that they do not believe in the sanctions and are ready for cultural interactions,” Dorri said. The 2012 Tehran International Book Fair will be a social and cultural event with book displays, and panel discussions on a variety of subjects. The 25th Tehran International Book Fair will run from May 2 to 12, 2012.
