Jaidah Group has announced the extension of its photography award until January 11. The competition was launched early November to unearth the talents of young photographers in Qatar. A number of prizes await winners, including a one month photography course at New York Film Academy with all course costs and travel expenses paid for the overall winner. Forming part of Jaidah Group’s commitment to Qatari society through its programme of corporate social responsibility (CSR), the competition hopes to enhance the artistic make-up of the country by giving a platform to photographers of all levels, and rewarding those chosen by a select panel of judges. Mohamed Jaidah, chief development officer, Jaidah Group, said: “We had a highly positive response in the contest. Therefore, we decided to extend it until January 2012 to give more chance for photographers to participate.” For more information about the competition, as well as full terms and conditions of entry, visit: www.jaidahphotoaward.com or visit the Facebook page “Jaidah Photography Award”.
