Reza Mirkarimi’s So Far, So Close, Abbas Kiarostami’s Where Is the Friend’s Home, Abolhassan Davoudi Intersection and Mani Haqiqi Canaan are among the films scheduled to be screened during the two-week event. Persian art and culture and especially the Iranian cinema have achieved great international success and the Iranian people speak to the world through their art and literature, said Iran’s cultural attaché Amir Pourpezeshk during the opening ceremony of the event held on March 2nd, 2012. A number of panel discussion sessions and workshops will also be held on the sidelines of the event.
