Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan Rashad Mahmoud and his accompanying delegation visited the Pyramids Plateau in Giza on Thursday.
In statements to MENA, head of the Pyramids Antiquities Plateau El Hussein Abdel Bassir said the Pakistani official expressed his happiness to visit the pyramids.
He inspected the Great Pyramid of Giza, Sphinx and Khufu ship and listened to a detailed presentation on the antiquities in the area.
He expressed amazement at the great ancient Egyptian civilization.
On Wednesday, the Pakistani official arrived in Cairo on a several days' visit. He is accompanied by a high-level military delegation.
