Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, the emirate is set to host the first Young Global Leaders Debate on the 26th September 2016.
The event, organised by LEADERS Middle East, in association with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority will bring together some of the world’s most respected young representatives. Coming from a range of backgrounds participants will debate, share ideas and find possible solutions to some of the challenges our world is facing.
The MoU was officially signed on 30th March 2016, during which Haitham Mattar, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority said: “His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi has placed youth development and education as a vital component of Ras Al Khaimah’s development and we are proud to host such events to support this vision. The event is set to stir a number of opinions and debate as our youth leads the way on a range of pressing topics.”
Handpicked from a range of industries including business, politics, and media, the young leaders are scheduled to kick off debate on a selection of topics including economic growth, social development, empowerment of the youth, inclusion, demographic change, sustainability, and CSR in the private sector. The aim is for the participants to work together to develop solutions for the challenges presented during the summit.
The summit will ultimately create awareness around Ras Al Khaimah’s efforts into building an educated society, encouraging young people to spark debate and excel in their areas of expertise.”
Global management consulting firm, AT Kearney will be presenting a post event report with some of the findings and recommendations gathered.
