Iran: Air defense shields unable to stop our missiles

A senior Iranian defense official downplayed the US propaganda campaign about deploying missile shields in the region, saying that these air defense systems lack the capability to confront Iranian missiles. \"They (westerners) make claims that are mostly void,\" Deputy Defense Minister and Head of Iran\'s Aerospace Organization General Mehdi Farahi told Fars news agency on Sunday. He said part of these claims about their air-defense capabilities is true, but \"they can never stand against the barrage of incoming Iranian missiles through this partial capability\". \"We hope nothing happens, but in case of a conflict they will see that all their claims have been futile,\" Farahi underscored.
