Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Thursday that western powers and the US in particular are concerned about Iran’s influence on regional developments. Larijani made the remark in a meeting with university students in Seman on Thursday. The US should know that this childish game will be very costly to them because the Iranian nation will never give up until it brings its enemies to their keens, he said. They try to mislead Iran’s public opinion by resorting to various ploys but to no avail, he said. The Americans have done their best to create obstacles on the way of Iran’s nuclear program but they should keep in mind that this is not a simple case and “We advise them to mind their own business,” Larijani said. Recent developments in the Middle East region have awakened nations and the US has no other option but to make good on its past mistakes, otherwise it will remain as the most hated country in the eys of regional people, he said. On recent stands adopted by the West against Iran, Larijani said they should know that their deeds result from the shaky position of the US in dealing with the countries in the Middle East region. The Zionist regime and the West assume that they can lead recent developments in the Middle East to their benefits which is untrue as the nations have been awakened and believe that the Islamic Republic of Iran has turned into the most influantial country in the Middle East region, he said. Their rhetorics against the Islamic Republic of Iran emanates from the danger they feel about the country’s ever increasing influence on regional developments, Larijani said.
