Kia\'s Carens model Riyadh - Arab Today The Saudi government has said 5469 Kia cars, manufactured between 2007 and 2011, are to be recalled in the kingdom due to faulty parts, Arab News has reported. The callback covers 1159 Kia Carens made between March 2008 and November 2009, 374 Carnival made between November 2006 and June 2007, 131 Soul made between June 2010 and June 2011, 1592 Optima made between May 2010 and April 2011, 192 Sorento XM manufactured between May 2009 and April 2011 and 1021 Sorento BL made between May 2007 and December 2007. Commerce and Industry Minister Tawfiq al-Rabiah has set up a committee to investigate violations by car dealers and issue verdicts in accordance with the law to ensure good service and protect consumers. The law insists that car dealers have to supply spare parts, ensure quality of vehicles, and provide maintenance services. The commerce and industry ministry called upon owners of affected Kia cars to visit the nearest company showroom for repairing the faulty parts.
