Ranger at Bangkok Motor Show Bangkok - Arabstoday Ford Thailand today announced its best-ever performance for the month of March with overall retail sales rising 47 percent from a year earlier to 4,875 units. The record month capped the company’s best-ever first-quarter performance, as overall sales for January-March jumped 57 percent year-over-year to 15,016 units. Leading the way for Ford is the class-defining all-new Ford Ranger pickup, as the company continues to implement an aggressive delivery plan to fulfill customer bookings. The Ranger posted March retail sales that increased 88 percent to 2,602 units, and total first-quarter sales that rose 108 percent to 6,724 units. “The momentum of the all-new Ranger is continuing to raise its unmistakable profile in the market and drive its popularity even further,” said Yukontorn ‘Vickie’ Wisadkosin, managing director, Ford Thailand. “And we’re continuing our efforts to serve each customer with delivery of their all-new Ranger as quickly as possible.” Consumer enthusiasm for the all-new Ford Focus helped deliver retail sales of 456 units in March, and pushed first-quarter sales up 175 percent from the same period a year ago to 1,637 units. The all-new Focus significantly raises the bar in the company segment by featuring a wide range of segment-first smart technologies such as Active Park Assist, Active City Stop and Blind Spot Information System, as well as a class-leading safety package. The segment-leading Ford Fiesta delivered another strong performance in March with total retail sales of 1,725 units. The popular Fiesta saw overall first-quarter sales rise more than seven percent year-over-year to 6,362 units.
