A group of associations and clubs of expatriate communities residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain today organised the "Bahrain for all and all for Bahrain" Festival, in its sixth edition, at the Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park in Hidd, where a great crowd of citizens and residents enjoyed the artistic and heritage activities.
Bahraini and foreign bands also took part in the activity in an atmosphere of happiness and joy that embodied the Kingdom of Bahrain's coexistence of all components of society.
Organisers expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa for his patronage and attention being given to such distinguished annual festival in which the nature of the Bahraini society- based on tolerance- is reflected. They stressed that His Royal Highness is always keen to back every activity that is aimed at strengthening cohesion of the Bahraini society, and as a key factor in supporting the comprehensive development efforts witnessed by the Kingdom in all fields.
They pointed out that, over the past 6 years, the "Bahrain for all and all of Bahrain Festival" has been able to spread happiness and joy in the hearts of all citizens and expatriates who were keen to attend to enjoy full schedule of performances, including traditional performances from 40 expatriate communities.
Such performances help strengthen ties between citizens and members of foreign communities through showcasing different cultures, traditions offered by the participating teams.
The Festival seeks to convey the fact that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under its leadership, is an open country in which everyone, with their different nationalities, races and religions, are respected, organisers confirmed.
It is also meant to highlight Bahrain’s unity in diversity, they added.
This year's festival programmes included paintings, pictures exhibitions and music performances, and children’s activities.
Some embassies, clubs and societies also showcased their countries’ cultures and traditions.
A parade was also conducted by the Ministry of Interior protocol horses and the Public Security Band. There were also performances by Hamad ‘Mystro’ Al Fardan and DJ Westlife, all presented by local comedian Ali ‘Fingerz’ Al Esbai.
Market stalls were also set up at the festival site, which allowed the audience to enjoy many of Bahrain's popular food and dishes from different countries around the world.
Children enjoyed a lot of fun activities and had the opportunity to meet many of their favourite characters such as Umm Hassan, Papa Yassin, Mai El-Khatib.
On the other hand, the citizens and residents extended thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Prime Minister for his concern and interest in serving citizens and residents, stressing that the organisation of this festival on an annual basis embodies his resolve to ensure unity of the nation in all its components. .
They also stressed that the festival is witnessing progress annually in terms of performances presented, which made it attended by a large audience of adults and children, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under its leadership has been and will remain the all-inclusive in which all citizens and residents enjoy security and tranquility.
