Spa and salon Urban Retreat has announced the launch of its debut skincare line. Developed by Creative and Brand Director Reena Hammer, the range was created after listening to the brand's experienced therapists and customers. Each of the new products will be sold individually and offered to clients by therapists after treatments as part of prescribed aftercare. The skincare line can be used on all skin types and includes active ingredients and essential oils of lavender, rose geranium and ylang ylang. Products within the new collection include: The Cleanser, The Exfoliator, The Mask (above right), The Elixir (above left), The Moisturiser, The Eye Gel and The Lip Treatment, as well as The Facial, a new treatment created by Jo Harris, Head of Beauty at Urban Retreat. The new collection, priced between £20 and £60, will be available to purchase within Urban Retreat at Harrods, Urban Retreat Smithfield and online at The Urban Retreat Beautique from March 2014, while clients will receive a customised programme including how to use the products following on from every Urban Retreat Facial. Reena, who is also the daughter of make-up artist, columnist and beauty brand owner Ruby Hammer, comments: “Having grown up around beauty my whole life, it was inevitable that I was going to get involved in the industry. As Creative and Brand Director for Urban Retreat, I am surrounded by world class products daily and my interest in particular for skincare has developed into a passion as has my personal commitment to the Urban Retreat brand.”
