On Sunday 26 April, Rawabet Theatre will host two consecutive shows of For Her, a play directed by Mostafa Khalil.
For Her presents the story of a writer in an unconventional way. “We see our protagonist's play before it becomes a play, in the process of it becoming a play, and a scene from the play,” the theatre’s statement reads.
Straddling reality and fiction, the performance explores the writer’s dreams, his work, his love while reflecting upon youth and friendship.
Mostafa Khalil graduated with a Theatre Major from The American University in Cairo (AUC) in 2012.
Khalil has been active in AUC’s theatre productions as an actor, with a growing parallel interest in directing.
For three years he taught at Helen O’Grady Drama Academy, a prominent drama school for children across African countries.
