The number of ATMs (Automatic Teller Machines) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia installed through Saudi Span and Banks increased to 11,387 by the end of July, 2011 as compared to 11,300 in June (this year), according to the latest statistical report of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA). The report also disclosed that the total cash withdrawals accounted for more than SR 53 billion through the number of processes exceeding 109.8 million. In the month of July, the number of ATM cards issued by Saudi banks exceeded 13.4 million cards, the report said.
