The Manpower Ministry announced on Friday that during the past two years and since President Abdel Fattah El Sisi took office the ministry provide 350,716 job opportunities in private and investment sectors.
In a statement, the ministry added that 270,231 people were hired, including 26,579 handicapped.
The statement added that 276.992 million pounds were paid as allowances to 91,370 workers in 123 faltering companies.
A total of 3,884 workers were trained to meet the labor market’s requirements, the ministry said, adding that 11,122 promotion opportunities.
Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan said 34 business agreements were signed from which 19,485 workers have benefited.
He added that 821 complains submitted by groups and 5,382 others submitted by individuals were settled.
A total of 11.536 million pounds were allocated for social care from which 46,412 workers have benefited, while 249,619 pounds were allocated for health care from which 2,006 workers benefited.
