ADNEC to promote UAE Defence Industry at Defence and Security

The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, ADNEC, will take part in the Defence and Security Equipment International, DSEI, 2017 exhibition, which will be held from 12th to 15th September at the ExCel London Exhibition Centre in the UK, and promote its defence exhibitions and the UAE’s defence industry.

Under the umbrella of the UAE Pavilion, ADNEC will highlight the International Defence Exhibition and Conference, IDEX, 2019, the Naval Defence Exhibition and Conference, NAVDEX, 2019, the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference, UMEX, 2018, and Simulation and Training, SIMTEX, 2018. The pavilion will also showcase national companies active in the defence industry one of the most important industries as per the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC, said, "We are proud of the superior calibre of the UAE's defence industry, owing to the generous support of our wise leadership and its concerted efforts to develop this vital field. Preparations for the events are stepping up according to the revised agenda set by the highly professional and internationally recognised IDEX team."

ADNEC's defence exhibitions have captured the world’s interest, with the largest international companies participating in every edition. IDEX and NAVDEX 2017 witnessed an unprecedented success. The dual event featured 1,235 exhibitors, generated contracts worth more than AED19.2 billion and attracted 105,000 international visitors, who witnessed the latest technology advancements in the defence industry.

Meanwhile, the upcoming UMEX and SIMTEX 2018 are drawing the participation of the world's leading companies in the field of unmanned systems, simulation and training. The keen interest reiterates ADNEC's capability in advancing this vital sector and ensuring its bright future through supporting relevant current and new international events.
