The Arab Monetary Fund is organizing on Wednesday the Conference on Soundness Indicators for Conventional and Islamic Finance, in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and the Islamic Financial Services Board.
A number of senior officials representing the financial and banking institutions in the Arab countries, along with international experts from international frameworks concerned, including the European Central Bank, the Islamic Development Bank, and representatives from the International Monetary Fund and the Islamic Financial Services Board, will participate in the conference.
The two-day conference aims to discuss how to take advantage of the financial soundness indicators in enhancing the overall prudential supervision of both conventional and Islamic financial institutions in the Arab countries, financial stability and total economy.
The conference also aims to encourage debate among the managers of financial stability, banking supervision on financial soundness indicators and the challenges facing the Arab countries in the relevant financial soundness indicators of statistics through access to Arab and international experiences in this regard.
The conference also addresses the challenges of compliance with those indicators, and how to develop them in the coming period.
