A ministerial economic committee reviewed in its meeting under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Monday a report issued by the World Bank (WB) and the International Finance Corporation on "doing business" in Egypt.
The report has mentioned that Egypt has secured high ranks in some indicators in 2016 compared to the previous year, including the establishment of companies and obtaining credit.
Egypt has also achieved progress in some indicators including the issuance of licenses, protecting small investors and settling insolvency cases and obtaining electricity services, according to the report.
The ministerial committee also discussed a report on an initiative to be launched Wednesday as part of ongoing preparations for the holy fasting month of Ramadan, which is aimed at providing all citizens' needs of commodities at affordable prices.
