The member of the parliamentary finance committee, Mahasen Hamadoun, expressed her intention to submit a request to the presidency of parliament to set a date to host the Minister of Finance Abdul Razzaq al-Issa to ask him about the delay in paying the salaries of Nineveh province's employees affiliated to the Ministries of Education, Higher Education and Health, accusing the minister of manipulation and delaying the salaries.
The MP for Nineveh province said in a statement that the Iraqi Prime Minister ordered the payment of employees in Nineveh province, after conducting security checking of their data by the concerned authorities, however, the Minister of Finance considers that these data are not sufficient.
Hamadoun added that this method is surprising as the ratification of the security agency that the employees did not cooperate with Daesh or any extremist group.
Hamadoun explained that other ministries have paid the salaries of their employees, based on the decision of the Council of Ministers with except the Iraqi Ministries of Finance which is responsible for paying salaries to the Ministries of Education, Higher Education and Health.
In the meantime, Dozens of teachers and students from Nineveh held a protest, demanding the Ministry of Education, to take care of schools.
