A presentation on the Omani investment was among the activities of an Omani-Yemeni forum that started yesterday. The second Omani-Yemeni Investment Facilitation Forum kicked off at the Hilton Salalah Hotel on Wednesday.
The two-day forum is organised by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in the Governorate of Dhofar under the patronage of Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar.
The forum included a presentation on the Omani investment, as well as honouring the participants from the Yemeni side and the contributors, sponsors of the forum’s activities.
Investors from Oman and Yemen are participating in the forum. Participants will visit the Free Zone, the Industrial Zone and the Salalah Port.
The first session of the forum included a series of papers. The first dealt with “Facilitation of Investment in Free Zones” presented by Eng. Essam bin Abdullah Al Najjar, Senior Manager of Business Development for Free Zones in Salalah. The second paper dealt with the types of facilities at the port of Salalah presented by Eng. Mohammed bin Oufait Al Mashani, Deputy CEO of Salalah Port.
The third paper reviewed the documents and procedures required for registration of companies subject to the foreign investment law presented by Madian bin Bashir Obaidun, Director of Commerce at the Directorate General of Commerce and Industry in the Governorate of Dhofar.
The fourth paper dealt with the facilitation of investment in Al Mazyounah Free Zone, presented by Salah bin Nasser Al Alawi, Acting Director General of Al Mazyounah Free Zone.
The fifth paper dealt with investment opportunities in Al Mazyounah Free Zone, presented by Dr. Salah Khalifa Al Jeri, Board Chairman of Golden Hala Company.
