Qtel is offering from today a low rate of QR0.35 per MB for mobile Internet to enable its customers to share the long-standing tradition of Ramadan prayers and wishes over the Internet. The promotion, which is the best rate ever made available in Qatar, is designed to make it as easy as possible to connect throughout the holy month. The offer, which will run until end of Ramadan, is being made available automatically for every Qtel mobile customer. “This is just one of several new and exciting offers designed to fuel feelings of closeness throughout this special season,” a spokesperson said. Until August 14, Hala customers who prefer the full control of their expenses can enjoy unlimited daily mobile Internet access from their handset for only QR5. The QR5 is charged only on the days when the customer uses the data connection and all data consumption within Qatar is then included until the end of the same day. To subscribe to the free offer, customers need to SMS the word DATA to the number 121. Qtel will also start from today start charging QR0.35 per minute for both local and international calls, in order to encourage frequent communication with loved ones throughout Ramadan. “With this special low rate for both local and international calls during both peak and off-peak periods, Qtel mobile customers, whether on Hala, Shahry or Control accounts, can spend as much time as they’d like talking to people here in Qatar or anywhere else in the world,” the spokesperson added. The company is also providing a range of special themed educational and religious programming on its Mozaic channel, and also supporting a wide range of charitable and community activities.
