Shell Oman Marketing Company continued its annual tradition to support the Career and Training Fair at Sultan Qaboos University.
The three-day exhibition was organised by the SQU Career Guidance Centre between March 14-16 to provide employment and training opportunities for tertiary education students from the Sultanate and help prepare them for their future careers.
Shell Oman employees had the opportunity to interact and network with Omani students from various local and international universities and colleges, and focused on sharing experiences and knowledge with students while helping create awareness about opportunities in Shell Oman. Students were invited to apply online on Shell Oman website for opportunities available in the company within the coming months.
Haitham bin Harib Al Ismaili, Human Resources and Administration Manager at Shell Oman, commented: “With approximately 90% Omanisation, Shell Oman is a role model for successful and sustainable local talent development and In-Country Value (ICV) strategy. Such opportunities like the career fair at SQU allows the company the opportunity to identify new Omani talents and provide them with internship and potential employment opportunities for their future career development. We have met excellent talents here at the fair, and we look forward to working with some of them as we help them make their futures.”
