Somali prime minister has appreciated the Iranian government and Red Crescent Society (IRCS) for sending financial, medical, and food aid to the famine-stricken country. Abdiweli Mohamed Ali expressed his appreciation during a meeting with Mahmoud Mozaffar, a senior IRCS official, in Mogadishu on Tuesday. On July 20, the United Nations declared a famine in two regions of southern Somalia owing to the worst drought in decades, and appealed for urgent resources to assist millions of people in desperate need of help
