Efficient and standardised value-added solutions and high quality services provided by the Support Services Centre (SSC) of the Government of Dubai's Department of Finance (DoF), have saved AED 47 million in 2016.
Mubarak Al Shamsi, Director of Corporate Support Division, DoF, said savings achieved over the past nine years reached AED 240 million.
''Last year, the saving was AED 47 million, an increase of 24 percent,'' he explained.
The SSC provides timely single-point back office solution for small, medium, and start-up Dubai Government entities by offering an efficient and standardised value-added solutions while continuously measuring satisfaction levels.
In 2016, he noted, the SSC's posted a nine percent increase in operational growth compared with 2015 and processed 19,000 transactions, a rise of six percent.
Two government entities joined the SSC last year, bringing to 24 the number of entities served by the centre by the end of 2016.
SSC creates unique business model for the wise management of public resources that enabled the SSC to save millions of dirhams for several government entities by sourcing the finance, accounting, procurement, payroll and human resource services among others to the center.
