Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh conferred here on Thursday with his Chinese Counterpart Yang Jiechi on means of forging closer economic, trade and investment ties between Jordan and China. Talks during the meeting held on the sidelines of the Arab-Chinese Forum in Tunis , also dealt with efforts to advance peace talks between the Palestinians and Israeli to arrive at the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. The two ministers highlighted the need to arrive at a political solution to the Syrian crisis that ensures an end to bloodshed, achieves aspirations of the Syrian people, prevents foreign interference in Syria and protects the unity and independence of Syria. Both Judeh and Jiechi stressed their support to mission of the UN-Arab League envoy to Syria Kofi Annan. The Chinese minister hailed Jordan\'s efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to bring about peace and stability in the Middle East.
