President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a presidential decree on Thursday approving a one-billion-dollar loan agreement between the Egyptian government and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
The loan is meant to bankroll Egypt's First Fiscal Consolidation, Sustainable Energy and Competitiveness Programmatic Development Policy Financing Program.
The deal was inked in Cairo on December 19, 2015.
