Mahmoud Mohammed Al Mahmoud, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has discussed with two Cameroonian officials parliamentary and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Al Mahmoud met separately both Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, Speaker of the National Assembly of Cameroon and the Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development of Cameroon.
The two meetings come within the framework of the official visit by the UAE envoy to present the copy of his credentials to the officials as a non-resident ambassador to Cameroon.
During the meeting with Djibril, Ambassador Al Mahmood referred to the importance of rapprochement between the two parliaments and mutual visits as well.
The Speaker of the National Assembly of Cameroon thanked the UAE for contribution in a number of development projects in his country, stressing the importance of cooperation. He proposed the establishment of parliamentary friendship association.
The UAE envoy also discussed with the under-secretary the cooperation between the two countries in the field of economy and investment.
