Airside Operations Department senior manager at Bahrain Services Company (BAS), Ali Rashed, said that 95% of the staff in the airside operations department are Bahrainis.
The Airside Operations Department provides several operations, including transportation within the airport campus, aircraft loading, air transport, aircraft load control, airport operations centre and ground logistics, he said.

He pointed out that there are many regional partnerships with BAS to utilise its 40 years of experience in providing ground services. BAS sent its employees to Muscat and Jeddah airports during peak times in collaboration with Swissport Company, and also participated in the establishment of a private airline in Kuwait.

He added that BAS provides a range of services at Bahrain International Airport, including providing transportation services for 70% of the airport's 3500 flights per day. The transportation service includes: passenger transport within the airport grounds, connecting VIPs, and transporting staff and crew.
