FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday dropped by 0.68 percent, or 47.27 points, to 6893.92 points.
Share price of Antofagasta Holdings increased by 8.66 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Rio Tinto, Glencore, Anglo American, and CRH increased by 2.09 percent, 2.02 percent, 1.98 percent, and 1.21 percent respectively.
Marks & Spencer Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.24 percent, followed by easyJet (2.48 percent), BAE Systems (2.25 percent), International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (2.11 percent) and St James's Place (2.09 percent).
