European stock markets closed narrowly mixed Tuesday, with London's FTSE 100 index of leading companies edging up 0.13 percent to 5,357.63 points. In Frankfurt, the main DAX index fell 0.45 percent to 5,994.90 points and in Paris the CAC 40 shed 0.25 percent to 3,230.90 points.
