Hong Kong stocks ended higher Monday after the Federal Reserve's vice president talked up the US economy, while traders await a key speech by bank boss Janet Yellen later in the week.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.26 percent, or 60.69 points, to close at 22,997.91.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.75 percent, or 23.29 points, to 3,084.81. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 1.27 percent, or 26.04 points, to 2,018.66.
