Qatar exchange up 0.59%

The Qatar Exchange in the green area Wednesday adding 49.52 points or 0.59% to 8,491.43 points from the previous closing of 8,441.91. The volume of shares traded was up to 9,392,433 from 6,565,747 on Tuesday and the value of shares was increased to QR379,335,150.03 from QR210,470,023.80 Tuesday. Top gainers were Barwa Real Estate which was up 1.69% to QR33.15,Qatar Navigation rose 2.19% to QR84.10, Gulf International gained 1.78% to QR28.55 and Islamic Insurance up by 9.83% to QR57.00. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 22.50 and the Insurance sector added 43.22 points. The Qatar industrial sector rose 24.62 points and the Services sector was up 75.61 points.
