The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Wednesday adding 75.10 points or 0.90% to 8,386.30 points from 8,311.20 Tuesday. The volume of shares traded up to 9,574,272 from 4,740,636 on Tuesday and the value of shares increased to QR315,934,383.45 from QR160,947,949.35 Tuesday. Top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.97% to QR139.60, Barwa Real Estate by 1.85% to QR30.30, Doha Bank up by 1.17% to QR52.00, Al khalij Commercial Bank by 1.22% to QR17.40 and Islamic Insurance by 1.75% to QR58.00. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 175.22 while the Insurance sector up 8.64 points. The Qatar industrial sector rose 3.95 points and the Services sector added 30.64 points.
