All three major US stock indices completed the week Friday by posting losses, as presidential elections edge closer.
Both the Dow Jones Industrial and tech-heavy Nasdaq fell -0.47%, the S&P 500 tracking the biggest 505 companies on the market fell 0.17%.
It was the ninth consecutive day that the S&P 500 ended the day in red. It is the first time in 36 years that the S&P fails to manage in green for nine days. It fell 3% that year. If the S&P 500 loses again on Monday, it would be the first time that the index failed to end positively since 1972.
