Tokyo stocks ended at 3-month high Tuesday as a pause in the yen's rise against the US dollar eased concerns about corporate profit outlooks. The Nikkei ended 0.3% higher at 17,081.98 points.
The broader Topix gained 0.7% to 1,352.58, with 1.542 billion shares changing hands, lower than 30-day average trading volume of 1.838 billion shares. The JPX-Nikkei Index 400 rose 0.6% to 12,160.56.
