US stocks closed mixed after wavering in a narrow range on Monday, as a weak nonfarm payroll report caused investors to revise down the likelihood of the US Federal Reserve hiking rates in June.
The Dow fell 0.20 percent, and the S&P 500 edged up 0.08 percent, while the Nasdaq rose 0.30 percent.
