The Senate on Thursday endorsed the teachers association draft law as referred from the Lower House, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. On July 24, deputies endorsed the 30-article draft law governing the syndicate after making a few amendments. In addition, the Upper House referred the 2011 General Pardon Law to its Economic and Financial Committee to examine suggestions to include “humanitarian cases” in the legislation, Petra said. The Senate also endorsed the public agencies budgets draft law as referred from the House. Endorsed by the two Houses of the Parliament, the three laws have to be signed by the King before publishing in the Official Gazette as stipulated in the Constitution.
