Construction begins on 10 mln units of affordable housing in China

China\'s housing authority announced on Thursday that it had met its goal of starting construction of more than 10 million units of affordable housing by the end of October. The central coffer allocated 152.2 billion yuan (24.16 billion U.S. dollars) and 42,614 hectares of land this year to support the project, according to the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
