The Housing Ministry has today completed the electronic distribution of the new housing units as part of the Hamad Town project.
It has allocated a total of 111 units of the project to cater to applications dating back to 1993 and 1994 in the northern Governorate.
Undersecretary Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa said that the electronic draw concerned the units which are nearing completion, stressing the importance of the project in accommodating applications in the Northern Governorate.
"The project is part of plans to meet the housing applications which date back to 1993 and 1994", he said, affirming the ministry’s resolve to address the demands submitted in the 1990s.
He pointed out that the distribution of the new housing units gives the priority to the old applications on the level of the governorate and neighbouring areas.
Undersecretary Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa said the recipients would be contacted soon to be handed over the property deeds and keys on completion of the units.
