During her stay in the Kingdom until June 2, the press statement said, Haird will meet a number of Jordanian business leaders to discuss ways of expanding the strong business relationship that exists between Jordan and the UK. Haird will also invite Jordanian businesses to take advantage of the UK’s attractive investment climate. Steven Anderson, head of the UK Trade and Investment Jordan team, said in the press release: “Jordan is a key business market for us and we are keen to deepen further our joint trade and investment activities. With possible GCC membership on the cards and London hosting the Olympics next summer, there is strong window of opportunity for both countries to strengthen their business relationship. The UK is also a great gateway to Europe, which is the world’s largest single market, so we are an ideal business partner for Jordan.”
