Firefighters managed on Thursday to contain a huge fire that gripped 13 shops in Kom Ombo city in the Upper Egypt governorate of Aswan.
Reported about the fire, Aswan security chief Mohamed Mostafa sent 10 fire engines to the fire scene.
Initial reports say that short circuit is believed to be behind the fire, but investigations are underway.
