Chris Pratt and wife Anna Faris take time to focus on their marriage.
The 35-year-old actor revealed as much in an interview with People published Wednesday. Pratt and Faris married in July 2009, and stay close despite their busy schedules as actors and parents by making their relationship a priority.
"A lot of times, people focus so much on their kids, and then when their kids leave the nest, they look at their spouse or partner like they're a stranger," the star said. "It's just as important, if not more important, to focus on your relationship with your partner."
"Your children are going to leave one day [and] you have to maintain a relationship that's going to outlast your child's needs for you," he related. "I have the support of a strong partner who's been through [fame] and understands it and whom I can share these experiences with."
Pratt and Faris welcomed their first child, son Jack, in Aug. 2012. The actor said he and his wife enjoy date nights when Faris' parents are able to babysit, saying, "I think it's important to carve out those times no matter what you do for a living."
The actor and actress looked the happy couple as they cuddled up at the Jurassic World premiere Tuesday. Faris joined Instagram ahead of the event, and shared a photo of herself with Pratt and other friends as her first post. The movie opens in theaters Friday.
