Daniel Craig was injured on the set of Spectre this week.
The 46-year-old actor reportedly suffered a minor injury while filming a car chase scene for the new James Bond film. Craig was driving one of the movie's custom-made Aston Martin's when the vehicle came across a loose cobblestone, causing the star to hit his head.
According to the local Italian press, the streets of Rome were able to deliver "a knockout blow to 007" better than any villain. The incident reignited a debate between pro- and anti-cobblestone groups, with national consumer protection agency ADOC claiming such roads are unsafe.
"Are the potholes of Rome the real enemy of James Bond? It would seem so," the organization said in a statement. ADOC president Lamberto Santini added, "The streets of Rome pose a daily danger to pedestrians, cyclists, and car and motorcycle drivers who risk series injuries. If James Bond can be sidelined, imagine the fate of our average resident."
Spectre marks Craig's fourth James Bond film. The movie hits theaters on Nov 6. Other notable Hollywood A-Listers starring in the film include Monica Bellucci, who plays the character's new love interest, and recently asserted she is a Bond woman, not a girl. Director Sam Mendes detailed the movie in a new behind-the-scenes video this week.
