Danielle Milian's son Richie died hours after his birth Tuesday evening.
The 29-year-old reality star announced the news Wednesday on Instagram, writing, "Yesterday I was blessed with the birth of my Richie Bear. Unfortunately, last night he took his place with the Lord and we said goodbye. I so appreciate the prayers and support from everyone. He touched my heart and was perfect in so many ways."
Milian had revealed her son was diagnosed with omphalocele in June. The condition causes the unborn child's organs to develop outside the body, and she and husband Richard Dickerson were told their baby had a 53 percent chance of mortality.
The reality star's older sister, singer Christina Milian, shared her own grief following her sister's post. "Our family was blessed to have met our little Angel Baby Richie. We were fighting for him and with him the whole way and are now coping with the direction in which fate took. I ask that you keep him and our entire family in your prayers."
Milian and Richardson are parents to daughter Naomi, and the star is also mother to son D.J. from a previous relationship. She, Christina Milian and third sister Liz star on E! reality series Christina Milian Turned Up, which will return for a second season Nov. 3.
