Emily Kachote has lost her Miss World Zimbabwe 2015 crown.
The Miss Zimbabwe Trust stripped the pageant winner of the title this week following her nude photo scandal. Naked pictures of Kachote appeared on WhatsApp in May, reportedly leaked by an ex-boyfriend.
"The confession by Miss Emily Kachote that she once posed nude and her admission of the existence of the photos led the Trust to dethrone her since her conduct was in a precise violation of the rules governing the Trust," the organization said in a statement.
First Princess Annie Mutambu will assume the crown and represent Zimbabwe at the Miss World 2015 pageant in December. Miss World Zimbabwe 2014 Thabiso Phiri was dethroned last year after facing a similar scandal.
"There are two kinds of pain: the sort of pain that makes you strong, or useless pain; the sort of pain that's only suffering," Kachote wrote Thursday on Facebook. "I have no patience for useless things. For now I'm waiting for my Attorney then I will hold a press conference before the end of next week."
Miss World Zimbabwe contestants are not allowed to be in relationships, engage in behavior "categorized as immoral" by the Trust, or have posed nude professionally or on social media. Kachote signed a document agreeing to the terms ahead of the competition.
