Lark Voorhies' publicist has confirmed the actress is aware of media reports claiming there is an outstanding warrant for the arrest of her new husband, music engineer Jimmy Green.
The couple were wed in Las Vegas in April after a yearlong courtship, but the news didn't break until last week. Green's alleged past brush with the law was uncovered as media outlets rushed to find out more about the man who married the former Saved by the Bell star.
Green reportedly was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill a store owner in Arizona and then skipping a court date to answer the charge against him.
"We are obviously concerned about the allegations and we are looking into the matter," Voorhies' representative Jennifer Wolfson told Us Weekly. "Lark feels these allegations are not true and would like this cleared up as soon as possible."
TMZ said Voorhies' family and friends believe Green is no good for the actress and are urging her to seek an annulment, however Voorhies is insisting he is a changed man and she plans to stand by him.
The 41-year-old actress' career stalled after Saved by the Bell ended in 1994, and she since has had mainly guest-starring appearances on TV shows and roles in direct-to-video films. She most recently has been making headlines for erratic behavior her mother has publicly attributed to bipolar disorder, but the actress has denied she suffers from mental illness.
